What types of sessions do you offer?

I currently offer virtual sessions only. Currently my regularly occurring monthly sessions are “How to Taste Wine Like a Pro” and “Bubbles & Brie: Champagne for All”. I’ll be adding more content over time! For private and corporate events, I’m happy to customize your experience. I can offer virtual food & wine pairings, sessions on sweet wines, cheese & wine pairings, how wine is made, painting and wine tasting together, and more, together we can craft the perfect experience to meet your budget! When local COVID restrictions are relaxed enough to allow inside gatherings of several households, I will be offering in person events within the San Francisco Bay Area.

How do the public virtual tasting sessions work?

I occasionally offer public sessions at a discounted rate open to a limited number of participants. See “Upcoming Sessions” in the menu above. You will receive an email with a Google Meet link and Google Calendar invitation as well as any preparation instructions (ex: which wines to buy). Click the link to “Join with Google Meet” from your email at the date and time of your session. Check your spam folder! Have fun & learn! Or you can submit a request for a private event for you and your friends, family or coworkers.

Do you provide the wine?

Unfortunately I’m unable to provide wine directly to participants (due to legal restrictions on wine distribution), I recommend participants find wine locally for my events and I will provide guidance on which wines to buy. However if you’d like wine delivered to your participants and have at least 2 weeks lead time, I partner with several wineries and would be delighted to recommend specific wineries for you. If you are are booking for clients or a corporate event, please let me know what you have in mind. These are broken out based on your per person budgets.

What if I don’t find a time that works for me?

No problem! Use the “Contact Me” form to request a session at a different time!

What if I register for 2 people but then more friends want to join me?

No problem. When you initially register for a session, be sure to create an account. That will enable you to modify the registration later (instructions will be provided in your confirmation email). If you have trouble, just Contact Me and we’ll try to resolve the issue.

Do you offer promotional prices?

Yes! I regularly offer 10-25% discounts off of virtual events to my wine club members and Instagram and Facebook followers! Follow me at @wineskipping!

What credentials do you have?

You mean besides spending most of my living & breathing hours thinking about wine and researching topics and speaking with industry professionals? 😂 I have completed coursework and examinations for the Wine & Spirits Educational Trust (WSET) Levels 1 & 2 Awards for Wine with Distinction. This required approximately 40 hours of classroom time and 60 hours of outside study time. I am also currently studying to become a Certified Specialist of Wine.
